    Abstract: To investigate whether high-definition tDCS ( HD-tDCS) of the primary motor cortex ( Ml ) canaffect dynamic postural control in the Y-balance task of healthy young adults. Twelve healthy adult maleswere recruited , and a randomized ,crossover experimental design was used in this study.The effect of HD-tDCS on dynamic postural control was assessed using Y-balance. Parameters included the reach distanceand the center of pressure ( COP)displacement and average velocity in the Y-balance task. Y-balancetasks were assessed at baseline and immediately after tDCS.Two-way repeated measures ANOVA examined the effect of tDCS.Results show that after HD-tDCS of the Ml ,the reach distance in the anterior directionof the right leg Y-balance task significantly increased by 2.84% ;COP of medial-lateral displacement andCOP displacement path length significantly decreased by 20% and 16% in the posteromedial direction,and COP of medial-lateral displacement significantly decreased by 20% in the posterolateral direction ofthe left leg Y-balance task.This study provides certain evidence that HD-tDCS improves dynamic posturalcontrol in healthy young adults.
