  • Review on the Evaluation of Technological Innovation Capabilities of Patent-Intensive Industries

    Abstract: [Purpose/significance] Sorting out the research on the evaluation of technological innovation capabilities in patent-intensive industries will help establish and improve its evaluation system for technological innovation capabilities. [Method/process] By using the methods of literature review and online survey, the research firstly analyzed the definition and characteristics of patent-intensive industries, and then focused on the status quo of researches on the evaluation of technological innovation capabilities of patent-intensive industries from perspectives of evaluation indicators, evaluation models and empirical studies. [Result/conclusion] Combined with the research results of the existing industrial technological innovation capabilities, it is found that existing evaluation indicators’ pertinence and applicability are poor; Also, the evaluation method is too simple, only DEA method is used to measure the innovation efficiency of patent-intensive industries; Besides, most empirical data is secondary data and national economic data, also the research perspective is a little bit broad. It is suggested that future research should fully consider the characteristics of patent-intensive industries, adding more indicators that can reflect the industries’ patent strength and it’s economic contribution into the evaluation index system; actively exploring scientific, effective and comprehensive evaluation methods; utilizing and integrating the multi-source data for evaluating patent-intensive industry’s technological innovation capabilities and other patent data reflecting the quality and level of patent protection of the patent intensive industries, and based on regional and sub-industries perspectives to conduct empirical research.

  • Analysis on Collection Development and Services of Research Library Under the Open Science Environment——Taking National Library of Medicine as an Example

    Abstract: [Purpose/significance] There is an impact on the collection development and services of research libraries under the environment of open science. Analyzing the status quo of transition of the representative research library, the U.S. National Library of Medicine under the environment of open science, will provide a reference for the transformation of domestic research library under the environment of open science. [Method/process] On the basis of analyzing the elements of open science, this article summarizes the evolution of the National Library of Medicine at the strategic level in response to the development needs of the open science from three perspectives: library development strategy, library collection development and library services. It focuses on the analysis of its collection development practices (including open resource construction, data center construction, semantic organization of resources, development of software tools, etc.) and service practices (including open sharing services of scientific information, public information services, data management services, open education services, new media and mobile services, etc.).[Result/conclusion] The National Library of Medicine implemented the requirements of the development of open science well from five aspects: policy guidance, resource basis, platform support, service type and service channel. The research library should gradually shift from information resource center to data center and promote the open scientific development from the perspectives of strategic decision-making, open access platform construction, data center construction and software tools development.

  • The Driving Factors,Advantages and Obstacles of the Open Science Development

    Abstract: [Purpose/significance]Under the environment of new technology, open science has got more and more attention, and the focus on international development of open science can provide support and reference for the promotion of open science in China.[Method/process]Through the internet survey and literature research, this paper reviews the open science and introduces the meaning of open science and the current driving factors, advantages and obstacles of the open science development.[Result/conclusion]The concept of open science presents multiformity and the scientific development needs, open science policy and practice projects of different institutions and countries are the main driving factors for the development of open science. The advantages of open science are gradually highlighted, such as increasing the speed and efficiency of scientific research, promoting the discovery of new problems, enhancing visibility and scope for engagement, promoting academic rigor and scientific research quality and enhancing collaboration and community-building. Besides the advantages, there are some factors hindering its development, such as lack of academicrewards and other incentives, culture of independent research and competitiveness, lack of knowledge, skills, intellectual property rights and other legal protection for open science.

  • A Review of the Impact of International Collaboration on Research Performance

    Abstract: [Purpose/significance] Research collaboration is a collaborative research work between different scientific research subjects on specific scientific issues to achieve complementary advantages. International research collaboration is of great significance to promote research performance. Understanding the current research status of the impact of international collaboration on research performance will provide a reference for the future research.[Method/process] This paper analyzes the literature about the impact of international collaboration on research performance from research sample, analysis indicators and analysis method based on the definition of international collaboration and research performance.[Result/conclusion] The analysis results show that the research field is rich in results at present. Domestic and international scholars are mainly from the macro (country or regional, etc.), meso (fields or institutions, teams, etc.) and micro (individuals) -3 levels, using bibliometric, social network analysis and statistical analysis to study on the impact of international collaboration on research performance,with the help of rich international collaboration indicators (simple count indicators and single ratio indictors) and research performance indicators (quantity indicators, quality indictors and indictors like h-index). The research needs to be strengthened including studying at the level of scientists and broadening the analysis based on more research collaboration behaviors; exploring comprehensive indicators of research collaboration and research performance; creating targeted analysis models and controlling some important variables.

  • Comparative Research and Enlightenment of the Current Situation of Chinese and American Medical Informatics Education

    Abstract: [Purpose/significance] The paper compared and analyzed the undergraduate and master education in Chinese and American universities to provide reference for future medical informatics education in China.[Method/process] Taking the opening time and college level as the selection criteria, 10 representative universities from China and the United States were selected as the research objects. Through online research, the paper comprehensively analyzed the general situation of medical informatics education in China and the United States from the aspects of basic requirements, curriculum, teacher strength, teaching methods and employment prospects.[Result/conclusion] Although China has made some achievements in medical informatics education after decades of exploration and practice, compared with the United States, China still has some shortcomings. In terms of basic requirements for admission, China mainly concentrates on the undergraduate education so that the high-level personnel training system is imperfect; in terms of curriculum, the content of courses is monotonous and the proportion of non-medical basic courses is too high, and the interdisciplinary integration is not obvious; in terms of teachers' strength, the teacher's subject background is single and the distribution of teachers' professional titles is unbalanced; in terms of education and teaching methods, the teaching methods are simple and there are fewer practical opportunities for students; in terms of employment prospects, students knowledge system is not systematic and the employment prospects are limited. Therefore, China should conform to the development requirements of the big data science research paradigm, speed up the cultivation of high-level medical informatics; improve the curriculum and content settings, broaden the scope of subject knowledge system; optimize the allocation of teachers to attract multi-disciplinary background talents; enrich training methods, and pay attention to the combination of theory and practice.

  • Synthesis and Electrochemical Properties of Flower-like SnS2 by Triton X-100 Assisted Hydrothermal Method as Negative Electrode Material for Lithium Ion Batteries

    Abstract: Flower-like nanostructured SnS2 was synthesized by polyethylene glycol octylphenol ether (Triton X-100)-assisted hydrothermal method, the effect of the amount of surfactant Triton X-100 on the ingredient, morphology and electrochemical properties of the synthesized product was studied. Results show that the product is single- phase SnS2 with crystal structure of hexagonal CdI2. The Triton X-100 plays a dominative role in controlling the morphology of SnS2. With a dosage of 0.5 mL Triton X-100 the synthesized SnS2 possesses the highest degree of crystallinity with a fully flower-like morphology . A rechargeable Li-ion batteries with the as-prepared flowerlike nanostructured SnS2 as anode exhibits excellent electrochemical performance with high initial discharge specific capacity 1598 mAh穏- 1 and reversible capacity 656 mAh穏-1 respectively, in a voltage range of 0.01-1.2 V and a rate of 0.15C. After 50 cycles with a rate of 0.15C, the specific capacities retain 572 mAh穏-1 and capacity retention rate can reach 87.2%.

    Abstract:【目的】分析数字文献资源长期保存的可持续性挑战, 推进长期保存服务的可持续建设。【方法】系统分析国内外相关文献, 梳理长期保存可持续性框架, 分析可信赖认证和经济支持等问题体系, 分析整理可信赖性认证实施机制和长期保存经济投入实施机制。【结果】提出数字文献资源长期保存的可持续支撑机制建设具体建议。【局限】对数字文献资源长期保存经济支持模式和相关研究只做了简要概述, 有待更深入展开论述。【结论】数字文献资源长期保存的可持续性包括格式可持续性、系统可持续性和服务可持续性, 服务可持续性涉及管理、经济和政治可持续性要求, 并提出加强长期保存可持续性建设的具体建议。

  • Analysis on the development status and long-term influence of open access mega-journal

    Abstract: In the context of open publishing, this paper takes 10 typical open access mega-journal as the cases, with reference to the information of journal official websites, JCR (Journal Citation Report) and Scopus, and it analyzes the development status of 10 open access mega-journal from 5 aspects: impact factor, article volumes, article-processing charge, acceptance rate, publishing speed; then it discussion long-term positive influence and possible problems of open access mega-journal. The results of this study can be a reference for authors publishing in open access mega-journal and offer the enlightenment to journal policy-making.
