Abstract: "Chao Er Yin Dao" is a treasure of Mongolian ethnic music that was included in the national intangible cultural heritage expansion project in 2008. From the 1990s to over 30 years ago, this precious cultural heritage has appeared in national level works and intangible cultural heritage lists with several transliterated names such as "Chao’er Yindao", "Chao’er Dao", and "Chaolin Dao". Due to different names, misunderstandings have unintentionally arisen regarding the promotion of intangible cultural heritage, social awareness, public opinion, and other aspects. In order to help people clarify the relevant situation and further accurately understand the intangible cultural heritage of "Chao’er Yindao", the author conducted a research on the transliterated name of "Chao’er Yindao" from a literature perspective based on relevant works, intangible cultural heritage lists, and local literature records.
