Openness is one of the essences of science, and in the late 20th century, when there was a crisis in journal subscription prices, the international academic community put forward the concept of open access to scientific and technological information (Open Access, OA), and the open science movement emerged. In 2021, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) issued the Open Science Recommendation, and open science reached a global consensus. Open science runs through the whole process of scientific research, and requires that we do our best to openly share all kinds of knowledge generated by the research process, including scientific publications, research data, software, and source code and hardware, support the establishment of a scientist-led mode of scholarly communication, and encourage cross-disciplinary, cross-knowledge system and cross-region cooperation and knowledge sharing, so as to improve the openness, rigour, transparency, reproducibility and replicability of the research. Reproducibility. Open Science is becoming a future paradigm for accelerating scientific research. Open science has important value for the career development of early career researchers (ECRs), such as improving their academic reputation and integrity, improving the quality and confidence of their research, and improving the impact of their research. Therefore, we have developed the Open Science Guide for Early Career Researchers in China to help Chinese early career researchers quickly and easily begin their open science practice. In order to make the guide more practical and relevant to the research work of early career researchers, we have launched a questionnaire to collect the ideas and needs of early career researchers in the process of open science practice. It will take about 5-8 minutes to answer this questionnaire. We invite you to participate and thank you for your support and contribution! Survey respondents: Early career researchers, including graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and researchers 5-10 years after obtaining their PhDs, generally known as young scholars and young researchers in our country. Participation method: 1. Click here to fill in. ![]() |
