Abstract: Unscheduled bleeding is a common cause of discontinuation during the using of combined oral contraceptive. Compliance can be improved by appropriate counselling of women about the possibility of unscheduled bleeding, as well as the necessary prevention and treatment. The mechanisms underlying this bleeding are not fully understood. There is little evidence from high-level evidence on clinical strategies for the management of unscheduled bleeding associated with the use of COC.Persistent or new-onset unscheduled bleeding, the exclusion of gynecological pathology is very important.
